Are you kidding me? Most protestant assemblies are so anti-male, it's ridiculous. It's all based on emotions. This is why the charismatic movement appeal more to women, and more men seek out more traditional places, where doctrine is central and theology matters.
Feminine men would thrive in these places. Other men, not so much. Congregations are just like schools these days. Men are taught they should be ashamed of themselves, and being soft and emotional is more valued than being a leader. Pacifism is preached all over the place. Aggressive feminism (the type that is very anti-male) is sneeking in everywhere, creating emnity between men and women. In general, knitting IS a more feminine activity. It doesn't mean a man cannot knit if he wants to. But most men have a greater need for getting out there aggression and energy through sports and action. They need to move around, and they should be allowed to, without having to explain themselves for it.
The protestant congregations in Scandinavia are completely run by women. And theology went out the door a long time ago. Some people think that's great. Those people tend not to be religious men.
