I think it is remarkable that you can assume that someone is not a knowledgable Christian, based on a man's reply that he is a Christian because he was born into a Christian family!
The traditional Christian belief has always been that Children become christian when their inherited sin is washed away through baptism. So if you are blessed to be born into a christian family, you have all the potential of becoming a knowledgable Christian early in life!
The observation that most people claiming to be christian today have less knowledge about theology, history, Tradition and doctrine is true, though.
Your article must therefore be based on the modern theology that baptism is only a symbol or statement, and that to be Christian is to be part of the new protesters of Traditional Christianity, there of the fitting name "protestantism."
