Very true. These people are truly suffering. It’s still quite ironic though, since I would argue that slavery is global at this point, and treated as if it is normal.

Most people are cooperating with their own enslavement. No one is fighting for these people, because they are not even questioning their own situation, being born into a social “contract" they never agreed upon themselves. And trying to break free is punished by imprisonment or at least homelessness, if you don’t pay that ticking debt with your time and labor. You never truly own anything, if someone else is continuously taxing you for it.
