Interesting story. Thank you! I've been to Dhaka, it was an interesting place. What stood out to me, were the big contrasts between rich and poor. The gap is so much larger than in many Western countries.

I've also been to Jodhpur, so this brought forth many memories.

When I read your text, it's intriguing to look at your choice of words. Not many Americans or Brits would have used these older, eloquent words. (I mean this as a compliment) in a text about their life. It's like taking a step back in time, and I like it. I have found this to be a pattern with other highly educated people I have met from India and Bangladesh. In general, people's vocabulary is becoming more and more narrow in the West, not only in English, but in other languages as well.

Not many young people in the West would speak of their parents with such high regard either. The respect of parents is a blessing.
