One thing I find odd about Americans, is that they will separate between “the UK and Europe..?” Like in this article. Are you thinking “the commonwealth” and Europe or are you just extra fond of the British isles?
Also, it is considered rude in most countries to ask people “how are you?” when you most of the time just mean “hi/hello,” and don’t really expect an honest answer to the question. This part of your culture is really hard to understand for most non (US) Americans, and comes across as very superficial interaction. Why don’t you just say “hi” or “welcome" like the rest of us, if that’s what you mean?
