This made me think of the biblical answer to thought. We don't think (at least not only) with our brains. The Bible states that we think with our hearts and even kidneys.
People who have had heart transplants actually testify that they experience new memories from their "donor" and even new mental qualities (like stronger determination/will) and interests (like extreme sports for example) after the transplant.
I suppose it's not wrong to take pride and joy in great accomplishment, as long as it's on your knees in front of God. Thankfulness in that everything comes from our creator.
Pride is, otherwise, the root of all evil. While the fear of God is the beginning of all good things.

I did respond to your email a long time ago, but maybe it wasn't your type of debate. That's okay. I appreciate your poems and your ideas. Thank you for the poem!
